I am  Jacqueline Burrows, a trained independent celebrant and member of the  International College of Professional Celebrants (ICPC)

I am often asked: ‘”Why choose a celebrant-led ceremony?”  As a professional celebrant, I work with my clients to create ceremonies which recognise and celebrate significant life and values.

Unlike Registrar ceremonies that must be held in licensed venues, celebrant ceremonies  can take place anywhere. Whether it’s a beach, forest, garden, mountaintop, or even your own backyard, you have the freedom to choose a location that holds special meaning for you.

I am not affiliated to any religious body or institution, I am wholly independent.  Whatever event you need to celebrate,  my goal is to create a heartfelt and individualised experience that truly captures the essence of your journey.

The celebrant you choose should understand your vision and style because a good rapport is essential for creating a ceremony that feels personal and meaningful.

My journey here has been anything but boring! I’ve worked as an administrator, a barmaid, a shop assistant, a university lecturer, a cake maker, a music teacher and a musician.  

Having also worked temporarily as a casual wedding registrar (another job!),  I found the legal restrictions on ceremony content made all ceremonies more or less the same and they were so lacking in individuality.  Furthermore, you only get to meet the Registrar on the day!!!

I know that every ceremony I create is different and personal to my clients.    I have the freedom to work with my clients over a period of time, so I get to know them, making their ceremony, whatever it is, a bespoke, memorable and personal experience.

Violin Vibes

An added dimension to my ceremonies is that you can include live music.  As a violinist I play regularly for weddings and events,  offering my clients a bespoke experience at a very competitive cost.

Music has always been part of my life and has shaped who I am, so it’s lovely for me to share it to make occasions extra special.

I work throughout the North of England, West Yorkshire, North Wales, Cheshire and the Peak District.
