Planning your own funeral

Planning your own funeral with the help of a celebrant can be a deeply personal and meaningful process.   Where a person is poorly and has been given a terminal diagnosis, planning their funeral ensures that everything they want is included.  It is also something which reduces the stress for your loved ones as they know exactly what you wanted in your funeral.

As a celebrant I can guide you through the steps of your funeral, including your choice of music and readings.  I can also help to structure your eulogy so that it can say exactly what you want to your family and friends. You can discuss your wishes with your family and friends who may also have ideas to contribute.  Be prepared to listen to their ideas and change your mind if necessary.

A pre-planned funeral can be included with your will or, if you have pre-paid for your funeral it can be kept with that documentation.
